Phil serves as Chief Operations and Compliance Officer, with a primary focus on managing and supervising the firm’s activities. He is an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR), portfolio manager and member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Phil is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor(SM).
Prior to joining JRM Investment Counsel in 2013, Phil was an associate of TD Ameritrade for seven years. His corporate career included managerial responsibilities in investor services, investor solutions, retirement planning and retail strategy. Phil has over 15 years of financial services experience.
Phil earned a B.S.B.A in Finance from Saint Louis University in 2005 and an M.B.A. from Creighton University in 2012.
Phil is actively involved in the Omaha community and serves or has served non profit organizations including Quality Living Inc., Habitat for Humanity, Completely Kids, Aksarben Foundation, Support Nebraska and the Omaha Home for Boys.
Phil and his wife Katie have two young kids, Layla and Jackson, who keep them very busy at home. When not working or spending time with family, Phil enjoys golfing, fly fishing and traveling.
